This year the CDT partnered with the Blackfoot Rotary Club to improve and grow the annual Tater Trot Fun Run. This decision paid off in a big way, the event more than doubled its fundraising goal from last year. We would like to thank our running community, our volunteers, and our corporate sponsors for this year’s Tater Trot. We had 103 runners registered for this year’s event. The weather was perfect this year and all who attended enjoyed the morning. The hot baked potato and a chance to win one of the many nice raffle prizes was a true to hit for the participants.
The event netted a $7,000 donation to the CDT for the Christmas box project and the Rotary Scholarship program. The food boxes provide a full Christmas dinner to families in Bingham County. Scholarships are given to deserving high school students in Bingham County that need a little extra help in obtaining their education. For information on this project, please contact the Blackfoot Community Food Pantry (communitydinnertable.org) or the Blackfoot Rotary Club. Below is a list of our corporate supporters who helped make this year’s event a success:
Liberty Gold Potatoes Dr. Paul Hansen, Family Dental Center
Alsco Idaho Central Credit Union
Bowers Collision Rupes Burgers
Discover Family Dental City of Blackfoot
First American Title HLE Engineering

We would also like to thank the many local businesses who donated raffle prizes.
The CDT Tuesday night dinners will be starting up on October 25th at the Methodist Church. This year we will be sitting down in person for our meals to enjoy food and fellowship from 5:00-6:30.
